Blackberry seems to be trying hard to churn out balanced products. While it has stuck to its roots of essentially being a business phone, it has also tried to include multimedia capabilities. The company has already made a mark with its outstanding products, the Blackberry 9000 (Bold) and Curve 8900 (Javelin). Such solutions are meant for the masses and not just a niche audience of businessmen. For the first time Blackberry has launched a product that will appeal to the masses and is priced well under the 20K mark - the Blackberry Curve 8520.

The Curve 8520 is the first handset that sports playback buttons and an optical scroll instead of the famous trackball (Pearl) navigation. Let's see if Curve 8520 is capable of holding on to its roots or has it strayed away striving to provide more multimedia solutions. Blackberry isn't the first to attempt this, Palm has done exceptionally well with the Centro and it has seen much success. So is the Curve 8520 set to take its place? We're about to find out.

Hello Can any body properly suggest me wot to do......I am planning to buy a Black berry but very much confused between BB Curve 8520 and BB Storm 9530....I know that between the two storm is 3G enabled but i am least bothered about it as it has no secondary camera.....In terms of Look Storm is more stylish and a touch screen too...I also want to know how good is the touch screen of BB Storm....or should I go for Curve 8520 which is no doubt fully loaded but is not a touch screen................plz comment

got this phone day before. its excellent value for money. the only dampner is the camera (somehow i was expecting better pix from a 2 mp cam than what i got. will beat down E71/63 hands down by virtue of the experience, n i hvnt evn mentioned the business dimension of the phone. the black berry OS is blazing fast and convenient. must buy if u need a mix of biz and play :)
