IdeaCentre Q110 has Nvidia ION inside while Q100 offers lean nettop features
After teasing with IdeaCentre Q100, Q110 nettops yesterday, Lenovo has finally announced both of them officially. Both nettops are 0.7-inches thin. Lenovo will make IdeaCentre Q100 and Q110 available in mid-September at a price of $249 (Rs. 12,000 approx.) and $349 (Rs. 16,800 approx.) respectively. Along with that, Lenovo also detailed D400 Home Server that will be available for about $449 (Rs. 21,600 approx.). This too will be available in mid-September.
Lenovo IdeaCentre Q series will have Q100 nettop featuring Intel Atom N230 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD for storage and comes pre-loaded with Windows XP. The Q110 comes with Nvidia ION platform featuring Intel Atom N230 CPU, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD and comes pre-loaded with Windows Vista. Both nettops have gigabit Ethernet port and WiFi support. Of both the nettops, Q110 will have HDMI out port.
Lenovo offers VGA output with Q100 while 1080p HD content can be viewed on Q110 nettop along with DirectX 10 support. So Lenovo Q110 will directly compete with Acer Aspire Revo nettop since both handle 1080p HD video output.
The IdeaCentre D400 Home Server will support up to 8TB storage with Intel Atom N230 CPU, 1GB RAM, Gigabit Ethernet, one eSATA and five USB ports.
Note that Lenovo doesn't include monitor, keyboard or mice with its nettops and home servers.
