You can publicly deny it but lets be honest, we spend a considerable amount of time on Facebook. It's the central hub of all web related activities; from reading news feeds, to posting exciting links. In today's fast-paced world, social networks are an active part of every netizen's day. They act as a communication medium as well as a place to have some fun. Facebook is known for its apps and some of the best apps consist of free games. I am listing below five of my favorite games on Facebook.

Bouncing Balls

I am sure a lot of you out there have played Zuma. Bouncing Balls is Zuma redefined and made simpler. It's like a mix between Tetris and Zuma, so instead of a large circular grid, the colored balls approach you in vertical grid. The objective is to group three or more balls of the same color. It's fairly simple, and that's why it's so addictive. The game is simple and light and loads fairly quickly. As always, the game features leader-boards, so you can post your scores online. Get the game here.

Bowling Buddies

Bowling games are a part of every casual game kitty; from the Nokia N-Gage Platform to the iPhone. This particular game gets my vote as its way too feature-rich for an online game. The game offers 2 modes; Challenge and Practice, plus an online store to buy custom items. As the name suggests you can challenge any of your friends and play the game in multiplayer. The controls are all mapped on the mouse and are fairly simple. The game gives you the option to play in 2D or 3D, which doesn't really make a difference as the game isn't too heavy and loads fairly quickly. I like the overall look of the game and the game modes. It's really good for a free online game. Get the game here.

Word Power

This is one game that will make you smarter while you have fun and compete with your friends. A simple game based on Scrabble, it gives you a time limit and a set of alphabets. You need to identify and arrange as many words as possible within the least amount of time. Correct words are displayed on a grid and your score depends on the time taken. The game can be quite challenging and addictive. I would recommend this only to those who enjoy a challenge. It may be categorized as casual but believe me it's not. Get the game here.

well you just cant get the best 5 games on facebook. There are so many more that would keep you up even at 3 am. Mafia wars, crazy taxi, Twirl, chain reaction ... with no end to this list. And the quizzes, dont even get me started on those. Best part is that you can make your own quiz. Facebook, till date is undoubtly is the best consumer engaging website.
