Build & Design



If you've seen the Star 3G, the Jet looks just like it but has more finesse. The glossy finish makes the Jet look much better. The face of the phone has an eye-catching hexagonal center button with chrome borders. On either side of this button are the calling buttons. Above the screen there is a secondary video camera, and if look closely you'll spot the proximity and ambient light sensors as well. The Jet incorporates an AMOLED screen just like the one we'd seen in the Ultra Touch, but unfortunately it gets washed out under direct sunlight.








On the left of the phone there is a volume control and the lanyard loop hole.






The right side of the phone has a lock/unlock button, which is necessary for a touchscreen handset. The camera shutter button shares space with another button which brings up the Motion Gate Interface.


At the top of the phone is a 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port shielded by a dust cover.

Samsung Jet S8000 was withdrawn and re-introduced as Samsung Jet 8003. Samsung S8003 is just the same except few luxurious features(not essential)options removed. When I wanted to buy Samsung Jet S8000 in April 2010, It was already replaced by S8003. So I had to go in for S8003. But I was lucky.I paid Rs.14000)-only instead of Rs.20000)- and got the same Samsung Jet S8000 without not so required extra options. It is a top-class "smartphone".

Hey can som1 confirm if it can store more than 500 sms ?? It says sms memory full once it stores 500 sms... its so bad for a phone wch has got so many features n looks like a high end phone.."Editer's pick from Tech tree" ...could you please confirm.. thanks

Have had this phone for 3 weeks now.And it is a piece of crap.It has great features but it has way too many defects. Rating: 0.5/5 After using it for 3 weeks,it started give me problems. - When I try to dial a number in the keypad,and after dialing like 4 digits it automatically calls,without allowing me to dial the entire number - When browsing through the phone book contacts,it automatically dials a random contact - It does not allow me to search the contacts - And when u switch off and power on the phone,it freezes and there is no way to switch off the phone but to remove the battery - It always freezes like after using it for 15 mins And after spending this much money,it's worthless.Never buy this phone.And they are not even willing to replace the handset.

may phone jet s8000 some haw i got all set up from cellone bsnl i have ben complain my be wrong set up but no file can open may be thy kip sending wrong please if you cane help plese do thanks

this is the best phone i have ever owened its touch screen is soooo responsive the camera is of good quality great battery life good size screen and the internet speeds are amazing if u can afford the iphone get one if ur budget is less then get the JET 9.99/10.00

I have tried this hadset in the Orange and Phones 4U shops and not impressed for all it's supposed speed the interface felt slow, unresponsive and dull. Shame as I was really giving it some serious thought. I am gonna try out the 8910 HD and see if that is more responsive
