MTNL Offers Free Roaming Services in NCR

MTNL has soft launched its roaming services for NCR (Near Capital Region) SSAs (Secondary Switching Areas) in association with BSNL.
Roaming will be free for in-roamers of BSNL Haryana circle in Gurgaon and Faridabad NCR towns falling in MTNL license area.
Similarly, roaming will be free for in-roamers of BSNL UP(West) circle in Noida and Ghaziabad NCR towns falling in MTNL license area. BSNL will allow MTNL out-roamers in their license area free roaming in SSAs of corresponding NCR towns viz. Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad.
This will be applicable for all prepaid and postpaid subscribers having STD and National Roaming facility with the following exceptions:
1. Prepaid in-roamers of BSNL from UP (W) in Ghaziabad (NCR) will not get free roaming in MTNL till the technical feasibility is declared.
2. The SMS will be charged as per the existing roaming tariff.
The scheme is available August 1 onwards.
