We spend a whole lot of money upgrading our gaming rigs every year simply because in order to get the best frame rate you need the latest hardware, which as you know changes exponentially every year. Of course I'm talking about one particular component here and that's the graphics card, which solely determines you're experience in the game.
But even after spending all this money we go and dump this in a cheap cabinet, which is an insult really. If you're serious about your gaming you need a cabinet that screams for attention so that people are drawn towards it and you can brag about how awesome it is. CoolerMaster is a well-known chassis maker that needs no introduction. In fact we did a little mini-roundup of their cabinets some time back, which you can read about here.
They now have a completely new gaming line up known as CM Storm out of which we have the Sniper chassis with us today. This is actually the AMD Dragon Platform edition but you can also get the standard model.
So how does a chassis qualify for 'high-end gaming'? For me, it should be very roomy for a two or three card setup, have plenty of ventilation, support for at least two or three 120mm fans, water cooling grommets, and of course a window to show off your components. The Sniper has all of that under control along with a couple of surprises that we'll see along the way. Some of the main features include two massive 200mm LED fans, fully ventilated design, solid steel frame, and lots of cable management provisions. Let's examine each area in detail.
"The fan controller can only be used with the two 200mm fans. So if you wish to add some more, they cannot be controlled". Are you sure, I have this case for month and even added one more 120mm fan at bottom, controller works fine. One doesn't need special connector, only need four pin peripherals to three pin fan connector which come's free along with any 120mm fan.
