Reports on the web suggest that older web browsers like Internet Explorer 6 are not being able to support newer technologies. This in turn is making it difficult for web developers to continue support for the browser when it comes to rapidly developing sites like YouTube.

It has been reported by some IE6 users accessing YouTube that the support for the service on the browser will soon be discontinued. In fact, Digg has already announced that they are planning to drop complete support for users on Internet Explorer 6 web browser. Google too is likely to follow.

The message seems to be loud and clear here - move on to another browser!

what is the gist of this article? is it just plain reporting or will the writer give some of his own thoughts as well? moving on to another browser means a lot, so this needs clarity
