Ribbon, tabs and other UI changes spotted in new MS Office 2010 Preview build
Back in January, screenshots of Microsoft's Office 2010 alpha build were leaked on the web. And now, the screenshots from the latest technical preview built have been leaked out. Ars Technica managed to get its hands on them. Microsoft Office 2010 would be available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
The most recent technical preview build of MS Office 2010 build 14.0.4302.1000 and the screen shots display all the applications of MS Office suite. The images suggest the build to be one of the Ultimate Stock Keeping Unit build.
The applications found in this build include Access 2010, Excel 2010, InfoPath 2010, OneNote 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Word 2010, Project 2010, Publisher 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, Outlook 2010, SharePoint Workspace 2010 and Visio 2010.
Few of the applications have been changed or renamed with something else. The big Office logo has been replaced by 'File F' text-based tab. Major changes are seen on the Tabs and in the ribbon along with menu access of the MS Office UI. This build is newer but has quite a few bugs.
The new Microsoft Office 2010 is slated for release in the summer of 2010.
