Microsoft might officially announce Windows 7 RTM later today
As we reported last week, Microsoft would be finishing the development of Windows 7 today and will come up with Release to Manufacture (RTM) build. Bloggers around the world have been buzzing with the speculations of Windows 7 build 7600 as the RTM build. Russian site WZor.net too stated that the new build is apparently the RTM build. Microsoft will globally launch Windows 7 on Oct. 22.
Last week, GeekSmack confirmed that Windows 7's development is expected to be completed on July 13. Over the weekend, WZor.net folks came up with screenshots of Windows 7 build 7600 with valid digital signature which can't be faked. The Windows 7 build 7600 sting states:
As mentioned in the string, 7600 is the build number, 090710 stands for July 10 (2009), 1945 is the time 7:45 pm and this build is for 64-bit version for computers.
Long Zheng, Windows Blogger of istartedsomething.com, posted the RTM details through his Twitter account. However, few believe that it's too early to say anything since Microsoft might be announcing Windows 7 RTM build on July 14.
Today, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference kick starts at New Orleans where we may expect Microsoft to officially announce Windows 7 RTM.
