It is just a waste... go for a proper branded one
This just supports output of 720p.... I wish it supported 1080p whish is True HD ..... For now I think I am going to buy the WD (Western Digital) TV HD Media Player..which looks quite promising and supports full hd output...and is available for Rs.7000 on ebay.
Dude Jay.. 720p is good enough for years to come. where do you get content for 1080p?
There is ofcourse very minimal content in 1080p on the internet, which would inturn take ages to downloaded via our broadband pipes. Blueray looks like a answer, however both the media and the player are so high priced, that mass adoption is 2-3 yrs away.
For getting 1080p to homes, the complete ecosystem needs to graduate to next level - right from content production by media houses, delivery by network operators, playback via Media devices and finally display on a screen.
The industry is still in its nacent stage with only the display screens being in true HD..that too a tiny segment.
Imagine, it took 5-7 years to graduate from Analog to Digital (Standard Definition).
The next step is HD (720p).. and post that is Full HD (1080p).
