Will go from development to 'Release to Manufacture' phase
Microsoft had announced the pricing and upgrade plans of their upcoming operating system - Windows 7. General (global) availability set on Oct 22, the GeekSmack said that Windows 7 will go in 'Release to Manufacture' phase on July 13. The Release to Manufacture (RTM) build will be the same Windows 7 build, which will be available publicly on Oct. 22.
Microsoft has managed to surpass several leaks of early screenshots and builds of Windows 7. Finally the development of the operating system will hit gold (complete) on July 13. At the moment, the software giant is busy choosing a perfect build out of many to ensure all major bugs have been fixed. On hitting the RTM phase, the build will be sent to PC Makers to test and report if any bugs remain with different hardware configurations.
It's also being said that TechNet, MSDN and partner connection subscribers will get the RTM build on July 13 or following that.
Afraid so I must say I'm TOTALLY disappointed by Windoze 7 RC...I installed it. Here's my Views -
Whats up with the TASKBAR now? Hell its so Populated when you right click...and it has such big icons as well...Why should we save screen space by arranging all open items under 1 hood with a small icon...we have full HD resolution monitors now for CHRISTS's SAKE!. Also whats up with Action Centre Thingy? How retarded it keeps on blinking!
I had to TURN all the stupidity features off & change the view of taskbar to old styles. I thought MS would make Windoze 7 easier to use for everyone NOT JUST FOR NEWBIES or PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW COMPUTERS! Where is my OPTION during Installation of Win 7 that I AM A ADVANCED USER I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING SO DONT NAG ME WITH STUPID ICONS BLINKING & I AM NOT BLIND TO HAVE A BIG TASKBAR WITH BIG ICONS BY DEFAULT!
The Saving Grace is that They INCLUDE a "Win CLASSICE THEME" I suppose they should also Include WIN XP & WIN VISTA THEMES. Also where is the FLIP-3d BUTTON & SHOW DESKTOP BUTTON GONE FROM QUICKLAUNCH? RETARDED! Whats this WIndows EXPLORER? HELL I CAN EXPLORE MY FILES EVEN VIA INTERNET EXPLORER WHY DO I NEED A SEPERATE EXPLORER? RETARDED AGAIN!
The memory footprint is down which is nice too 320 MB's from VIsta's default off 650 MB's but If you don't have 2GB ram by now You dont deserve to use PC's anyway.
I think Win 7 will be a Fail Vista SP3 with get all its bells & whistles like Sidebar removed with Desktop gadgets. Thats the only real new feature which you can see win Win 7 rest is all just FACE LIFT & BETTER CODING.
My OPINION to PEOPLE who have VISTA ALREADY...STICK WITH IT! It's not going anywhere. Don't waste your WAD OFF on win 7. Vista HAS TO Co-EXIST & will EXIST With Win 7. MS can't afford to kill it off.
