Everyone is aware of Sony Ericsson's plans to launch its own Android based device later this year. However, what we did not know was the details regarding the first Sony Ericsson Android device.
That was until now. It seems we now do have some information regarding the upcoming device. Codenamed "Rachael", the phone is said to sport a large touchscreen panel and will be have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip inside it, doing all the number crunching. The specs of the device too will be revolutionary of sorts, thanks to the Snapdragon processor, which runs at 1 GHz. It supports high definition video decoding and the phone is likely to sport a 12 megapixel camera, broadcast T Android based, Wi Fi, and GPS. The "Rachael" might also end up as an Xperia branded phone. Additionally, there might be a downgrade to an 8.1 megapixel camera as well. That however is just speculation now.
We already know that the successor the current X1 happens to be the X2, which will of course run on Windows Mobile. So this might just turn out to be the X5 that some people have been hearing about for quite some time now. Another phone that has reared its head in rumoursville is the quite fascinating little phone called the Sony Ericsson "KiKi". The KiKi comes with a transparent display and what we now know is that images will be projected on to the display when you're using it. Interesting.
