1. MTNL Trump


The Trump customers need to buy a new HSDPA Trump SIM starter kit priced at Rs. 300. This will have zero balance and zero validity.


 


The activation of HSDPA facility will be customer controlled and can be activated by recharging the HSDPA coupon of Rs.149. The activation is similar to normal SIM activation which is by making a voice call.


 


The HSDPA Trump SIM kit's life-cycle too is  similar to that of a regular Trump SIM.


 


For instance, grace period 90 days, after expiry of the validity first 30 days balance will be carried forward if recharged, after 60th day the balance will be confiscated if not recharged on 91st day the SIM card will be deleted.


 
The details of the HSDPA recharge coupon is as follows: 




 


 


 


- The above validity recharge coupon Rs.149 is to be recharged every month to keep the customer s account active.


 


- The data pulse rate for charging is fixed at 50 paisa per 100 KB. This pulse rate is applicable only in the MTNL home network. While roaming, a tariff of Rs. 10 per MB is applicable with a pulse rate of 100KB.


 


- The customer can also maintain balance in his Prepaid account by using Top up vouchers.


 


- A minimum balance of 20 MB is to be maintained always in the customer s account by charging with suitable Data recharge voucher.


 


- If the customer fails to maintain a minimum balance of  20 MB in his pre paid account, the HSDPA facility will be barred and he will not be able to use the data download service. The service will be restored automatically  if recharged  again with Data recharge vouchers.  


 


Data recharge coupons of Rs. 99, Rs. 250, Rs. 450, Rs. 750 and Rs. 2500. Details below: 


 



*Fair usage policy 10 GB per month.


 


- The free usage of coupons shall be additive if recharged in the validity period.  


 


Recharge Process




- Via Mobile Phone:  


Customers can recharge their account by inserting the SIM in a handset and following the usual process as available now to all Prepaid customers.


 


- Third party recharge:  


Customer can recharge his account by Third Party Recharge System by dialing 9869556677. IVR(Interactive Voice Response System) will prompt to dial the mobile number which needs to be recharged and then the 16 digit PIN can be punched from the mobile or landline telephone keypad as per IVRS prompt. 
 


Balance enquiry


a) For Balance in Voice recharge coupons:  


 


Customers can follow the normal existing procedure for balance enquiry on balance talk value available of the voice recharge coupons.


 


b) For Balance enquiry of Data Balance in Data vouchers:


 


Data balance can be enquired by sending an SMS DATAENQ to 444

Prasannaa I suppose so...that You won't be able to make calls just use it as data. If that doesn't work then don't buy this crap...I mean seriously 3G phones already have modems built into them for PC connection. Whats the point of buying this crap 2-3k dongle for that need. In Singapore it worked when I was there for Star Hub Internet Oh yeah & check this...3G speed 5 Mbps unlimited download $15 singapore/month oh yeah go India! :-)

Ok Traffis of Unlimited seem Decent enough. TT you don't tell us though whats the minimum & maximum guranteed Download/Upload Speed? Whats the freaking point of you mentioning the Traffis TT without Speed indication. Yes to the other newbies at 3G...This will work with your Nokia phone or any other 3G phone, just install the modem drivers for the phone on your PC & use it as a modem. TT get your FACTS ASAP though, tell us the minimum & maximum download/upload speed. If for 2500 unlimited Tariff the Speed is 2 Mbps guranteed in download & 1 Mbps in upload. It seems good enough considering MTNL's Triband costs the same tariff for that speed. So TT GIVE US THE SPEED INFO ASAP!

Can this SIM be used in and as a Phone ? From the above description, I think it is a DATA ONLY card and no phone calls ie currently it cannot be used as a regular phone, only Data usages permitted.

One IMP Q : Can this card be used inside a mobile handset ? Since you mention it is a data card , can it be used in a mobile phone ????

Only one word toooo much expensive. We can understand MTNL looking profit in per bit data download from customer. No other way out as private telecom providers are still waiting for 3G spectrum auction. MTNL is taking advantage of first movers.
