    Samsung's Omnia II might see the light of the day by September 09

Eagle eyed users have managed to spot an Austrian Microsoft press release that seems to confirm the fact that we might see the Samsung Omnia II with Windows Mobile 6.5.
 
Earlier, we had news that it will indeed be launched with Windows Mobile 6.1 of course, with an option to upgrade to version 6.5 when it is eventually released. That still might happen anyway as the phone is fully capable of handling Windows Mobile 6.5 and the system resources it needs to run smoothly. The first launch however might be seen in Austria, where the operator A1 will launch the phone sometime in September 2009.

Its been 4 months since I bought the omnia 2 with WM 6.1. Is there any info regarding upgrade to WM 6.5 in India. About a month age, the samsung service cente in Bangore had no idea about any upgrade though other countries seem to have recieved upgrade info via samsung. Any comments

Were you ever able to upgrade the handset... i even went to Domlur Service center in bangalore and they said they have no idea.
