The 11.6-inch Samsung N510 netbook will have Nvidia's ION Chipset inside
Samsung is will soon unveil its N510 netbook with Nvidia's ION in July for the European market. Italian site Netbookitalia.it came up with the technical specifications of the Samsung N510 netbook. This N510 will totally break the netbook concept barriers with its 11.6-inch screen.
Samsung has confirmed Nvidia ION chipset based Samsung N510 netbook. The so-called under 10-inch display bearing netbook molds will be broken by this 11.6-inch netbook. Samsung N510 will feature 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor (512KB L2 cache and 667MHz Front Side Bus) and will pack 1GB memory. With 11.6-inch HD WXGA display, looks like the notebook will easily support 720p HD video content using Nvidia's ION chipset.
The interesting part here is that this N510 netbook will feature Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics chip that are packed in Apple Unibody MacBook Pros. With 160GB SATA HDD for storage, this netbook will run Windows XP Home instead of Windows Vista, which is bit surprising.
As usual, no optical drive would be bundled but this netbook will support WiFi 802.11 b/g/n standards for better wireless connectivity. Other features include Ethernet, Bluetooth, 3-in-1 memory card reader, and 6-cell battery pack.
Samsung's N510 will follow Lenovo's IdeaPad S12 which too is destined to arrive late in July.
