Sony maybe planning a cellphone with gaming prowess
Sony is in news yet again for prepping a PSP-phone like concept. Nikkei, the Japanese business daily, reported that Sony is planning to a cellphone-gaming hybrid gear. Evidently Sony is planning an iPhone killer that will have their PlayStation Portable gaming prowess. For this, Sony plans to set up a project team in early July.
Sony has been rumored for calling off their partnership with Ericsson. It all started when Sony had denied permission to Sony Ericsson for using Sony's PlayStation brand name for the upcoming cell phones. Back then Sony said that a PlayStation phone might be considered when the company will make mobile handsets independently.
As of now Sony will refer to the device as cellphone-game hybrid gear. Sony Ericsson already has gaming handsets like F305 that features motion sensing support. Sony Ericsson's upcoming phone Aino brings PlayStation 3 support.
Slowly but gradually Sony is moving towards hybrid cellphone-game gear, just like Sony's PlayStation upgraded their PSP console with next-generation PSPgo.
