Facebook

Nokia N97 has a Facebook Application. This is a first for Symbian after Facebook launched their app for Windows Mobile. The Facebook App is very similar to the one seen on the Windows Mobile platform. This application has a widget so you can have regular updates to the main screen of your N97. This is an Online Widget, so beware; using this widget means continuous data usage (GPRS). You have Status updates as well as Message, Poke, and Invite alerts in the widget. Clicking on the widget takes you to the app. Having the widget means having the application running in the background always. It really doesn't matter all that much because the N97 is a powerful device and can handle several such applications all at the same time.

E-Mail Widget

The E-mail widget is another online widget in the Nokia N97. This widget gives you updates on your configured e-mail accounts. The e-mail accounts configured in your messages folder show up here with updates of mails received. You can choose to show details or just show how many new mails you have received, this depends on whether or not you have set Auto-Retrieval of mails ON/OFF. A good widget for those who wish to access their mails while on the move.

AccuWeather

AccuWeather is a widget from AccuWeather.com. This too is an online widget. This widget provides weather updates for people who travel a lot. There isn't anything much but you do get weather updates for the Indian cities and you can have several cities listed, of which you can choose one to be the default city.

Amazon

This is a simple widget. Based on the site Amazon.com this widget provides with links to the best deals present on their site.

AP News

The AP News widget will keep you informed about the latest news. The news is sourced from ap.org.

Bloomberg

Bloomberg is an online widget that gives you stock updates. The widget can be customized to what information it showcases, so you get stock updates on all markets.
