Microsoft has clarified the doubts of Windows 7 Beta users regarding the version expiry and shutdowns. It all started after Microsoft released Windows 7 Release Candidate on May 5. Microsoft had also sent out a mail to users on Windows 7 Beta that the beta version will expire on Aug. 1 and bi-hourly shutdowns would begin June 1.

At the Windows Team Blog, Windows Communication Manager Brandon LeBlanc clarified the confusion about bi-hourly shutdown date of Windows 7 Beta.  The blog post mentions that Windows 7 Beta's bi-hourly shutdowns will start on July 1 and NOT on June 1.

Windows 7 release candidate's bizarre bi-hourly shutdown had puzzled us for a while. But rest assured, those bi-hourly shutdowns on Windows 7 RC will start on July 1, 2010.

For those who've not yet upgraded to Windows 7 RC or want to install Windows 7 RC can get the files from Download Center page.
