Prasad Naik, Jun 11, 2009 1810 hrs IST

    Impressive audio quality

Small and light, excellent sound quality, easy to use, built-in clip, inexpensive

Terrible battery life, tacky build and finish, no AAC support

Today we have for you the Moser Baer MP 565-2G MP3 player. Unlike the IVO-511i that we tested in the past from the same manufacturer, the MP 565 is a low end MP3 player with 2GB built-in memory concentrating more on basic music playback without any bells and whistles. However, the player still has a few tricks up its sleeve. Read on to know all about it.

Its quality is not really good.Battery life is pathetic. After working for around 4 months it has doesn't even get started. The sound quality is very good but the flaws are too many so it is not really a good deal. I got this free of cost though so it did serve my purpose for 4 mts

i just bought MP565-2G a day before. i agree the headphones given with this are pathetic. i am using one and half year old SENNHEISER M-160 with this player and it playes it with amazing sound quality. and no issue in playing songs.

You should have used the supplied earphones to test the sound quality. Everybody can not afford the obscenely expensive altec lansing earphones. You should test every thing with their standard accessories in order to give a generalised idea. The battery will last more with the supplied ear phones . Since you plugged power hungry headphones into the player, the battery got drainedout easily. TEST GIZMOS WITH THE STANDARD SUPPLIED ACCESSORIES PLEASE.

We can say this is budget player n not high-end player. Even big boys like apple, creative they are also not comes with good earphones. We have to haunt for better earphones.

Just as one cannot test the top speed of a car on a broken road, we do not test the audio quality of players with poor quality earphones, which is exactly what the player came with. As for the Altec Lansing earphones, they are very efficient which is why the player could run them comfortably at just 1/3rd the max volume, same as the bundled earphones. I also confirmed the battery life with Moser Baer and their figures match mine, which means the earphones are not a factor and that's as much as the player goes.
