The Samsung Star 3G does not look extraordinarily good though it's pretty decent for its price. The phone is slim and lightweight, and is about 13mm thick, while weighing just over 90g. The phone is not too large and is very pocketable.


 




Coming to the layout of the phone; on the face of the phone we have an earpiece and a secondary video camera for 3G video calling. The face of the phone has glossy edges, which add to the looks, but doesn't help in getting a good grip on the phone.


 



It's followed by a 2.8-inch screen with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, which I feel should have been higher given the size of the screen. The low resolution on a large screen results in a bit of pixilation. However, the sunlight legibility of the screen is decent. The screen doesn't attract scratches easily but picks on fingerprints.

i brought it last week only for 6600/-, i am using samsung for the 1st tim, so far i haven't found any problem, camera is ok 3.2mp, but can not compare with nokia, quality of camara is poor.good sound effect.its ok in 6600k, its got at very cheap price, touch screen and all, good phone.

don't buy this phone. there is a sound issue with this phone. its stereophonic sound goes when a call comes. its kabaaad phone. I have sent this phone to service center within 6 months of purchasing

samsung star 3G is very nice phone. i purchased it on 1st january 2010. 2.8 inch touch screen, 3.2 mp camera with flash, camera qualit is okay. other camera is VGA. good option for WAP Users. now comes bundled with 2GB MEMORY CARD. a word of caution for all future star 3G buyers... DO NOT BUY CELL PHONE FROM VIJAY SALES. THEY ARE SELLING PHONES AT EXORBITANT RATES I PURCHASED FROM THIS SHOP FOR 11,643. LATER I CAME TO KNOW FROM OTHER SOURCES THAT THIS MODEL IS AVAILABLE IN 9000-10,000 RS. IN SOME ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM CHAIN ...U WILL GET A SAMSUNG BLUETOOTH FREE. I ALSO REALIZED CELL PHONE COVER BOX SEAL WAS BROKEN...AND MODEL WAS USED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

This is a capacitive screen phone.Qwerty will not work well in this size of screen as the thumb is big.The call quality is good no problems. It seems Samsung doesnt like your reviewer. The camera is good. The speed can be increased by removing the the preview app.

The screen is heat sensative so it rquires touch. Maybe this is the reason they have avoided the qwerty pad

Yes some times even i noticed unknown no`s entry which i cld not know that how it came in // Also my biggest concern is to know (Here i seek other`s help if someone cld guide me) that how to do:- Zoom in.out while using camera as it volume keys didn't work // how to capture images and text using browser which can be done in Nokia as it gives options // how can i increase auto lock time limit // more good games info as Samsung begs to pay to play preinstalled games// though with this price tag the set is amazing with it applications and features including Pic editing option.

dont buy this phone it is a tri band phone with poor picture quality and battery back up only it is touchpone with multimedia features go for nokia e63 it got all the modified features only this is not a touch phone it is a smart buisness phone
