As you can see above, the memory locks open completely with ample clearance between them and the installed PCIe graphics card. It is therefore not a problem to install the memory even after a PCIe graphics card is installed.

This motherboard has all types of connectors (except eSATA) built on it. Gigabyte has provided PS/2 ports for the keyboard and mouse, as these are still popular even though most people will eventually move to USB 2.0. There are eight USB 2.0 ports to take care of most peripherals. eSATA ports are not there but they have provided brackets to connect eSATA devices as discussed in the Bundle section. Two FireWire Type A and Type B ports take care of FireWire IEEE 1394a connectivity.

If you need more ports, you can connect the leads provided on the motherboard to brackets (purchased separately) to get four more USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire IEEE 1394a port, COM port and LPT port for legacy printers.

There are plenty of SATA ports on this motherboard, ten in all, so you will never be short of ports to connect your storage devices. Of these six are native (orange), while Gigabyte adds in two more (purple).

I am Amit Kumar and I am interested Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R. But my budget is just 6.5K. I am saving little more so that i could get it as soon as possible. I would like to know more about this board. And the best DX11 Graphics from Nvidia to complement this board. Trancend AXE 1200+ CL5 DDR2 Ram is compatible with it.?? I got nvidia GeForce 8400GS PCI-E 6x card is it still capable to attached with this card.
