Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer showed off the new Zune HD candidly after his talk at the D7: All Things Digital conference in San Diego. Of the few, Engadget and Gizmodo managed to get images Zune HD being teased by Ballmer.
Gizmodo's Brian Lam got to play around with the prototype and noted that the Zune HD had natural swipe based navigation for main menu usable over the touch screen. The home button is slim and compact unlike the round home button of the iPod Touch.
The 3.5mm port is positioned to the left bottom. On iPod Touch the 3.5mm port is on the right bottom.
The Zune HD is nowhere comparable to old Zune models, since Microsoft's Hardware has taken the same leap that Apple did while launching iPod Touch. Hopefully, the Zune HD allows the background themes and even loads of apps to the users.
Too bad that even though Zune HD will be launched in September for the U.S. market, we aren't sure when will it be available in India.
