SkyFire has just released the final version of of its erstwhile "Beta" browser for Windows Mobile and S60 platforms.

The browser boasts of being able to render web pages "as it is" with full support for flash,Ajax and Javascript. So, you can actually watch YouTube videos or chat with your friends within Gmail, right from the browser. This is something arch-rival Opera Mini is incapable of doing.

The 1.0 release promises a vastly improved navigation method. Zoom functionality has been enhanced and the browser loads faster than the Beta version. On Older S60 Third Edition devices, you might run into memory issues as we did with the N73M.

The browser can be downloaded from the SkyFire website here . If you wish to install it directly from your phone, get it from http://m.skyfire.com

Good news for BlackBerry buffs! Skyfire has announced a closed alpha for BlackBerry devices and a Beta program is in the offing as well.

i used skyfire when it was beta. still it feels the same. moreover i like opera than other mobile browsers. when on wifi i use the default browser on my E71, when on gprs opera is the resort.

I noticed Its simply a remote desktop application! Cool example of cloud computing.. Some idea i had long time back. But its such a bandwidth hog unlike operamini.. Will use skyfire when on wifi and operamini over my slow gprs connection..
