    Slim Lenovo U350 Has Low Power CPUs

Along with the launch of IdeaCentre C300, Lenovo has unveiled the slim and light Lenovo IdeaPad U350 notebook with fanfare. Another addition to IdeaPad series notebooks, this 13.3-inch Lenovo IdeaPad U350 offers Intel's ultra low voltage processor options. IdeaPad U350 is priced at $650 (Rs. 31,100 approx.).

Lenovo IdeaPad U350, which is less than inch thin, will join a new breed of ultrathin notebooks. U350 offers option to choose between Intel's ultra low voltage processors- 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500, Intel Pentium SU2700 or Intel Celeron 723 processor. Either of these processors would be paired with Intel Mobile GS40 and Mobile GS45 chipset along with Intel Mobile GMA 4500M and Mobile GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics.

IdeaPad has a 13.3-inch LED Panel with 16:9 aspect ratio offering 1366x768 resolution. Supporting up to 8GB of DDR3 800/1066MHz memory, high definition content storable on up to 500GB 5400RPM HDD can be pushed to larger display using the HDMI connector.

For connectivity, the notebook offers WiFi 802.11 a/g/n for wider wireless area coverage and Bluetooth. Other features of the notebook include a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, multi-touch trackpad, two 1.5 watts speakers, ambient light sensor, VGA port and Dolby headphone.

U350 will run Windows Vista Home Basic/Home Premium and will have OneKey Rescue System for data recover as well as VeriFace 3.5 for facial recognition. With an 8-cell battery, Lenovo promises ten hours of battery life, while with the 4-cell option, it can get five hours of battery life.

Lenovo will make this notebook available in July in U.S. However, it will take a while to reach Indian shores.
