Roydon Cerejo, May 26, 2009 1800 hrs IST

Offers better performance than the Asus 1000H

Improved keypad, longer battery life, solid build, super hybrid engine

Looks a bit dull, price should be lower

 Design and Construction

The glossy finish still dominates the entire body of the Eee PC with the same exact dimensions as its older sibling.

On the left we have the RJ-45 LAN jack followed by a single USB port and the microphone and headphone jack.

The right side completes the set of connectors with two more USB ports, a VGA port and the memory card slot.

This is the one place where we see a drastic change in design. The complete keyboard is revamped, which now looks very similar to the newer Samsung notebooks. There is a lot more spacing between the keys which is comfortable to type on but if your're used to the regular styled keyboard then this will feel a little alien at first.

I think the reviewer has missed few points: 1) It has a very long life of battery which is a plus point in similar categories netbooks. I believe its one time charge run time is 8-9 hours depending on the uses. 2) Touch pad has multi-touch features which is a great and innovative. User could scroll and zoom in-out on touch pad, very quickly. 3) Has a Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi 802.11n which is not found in most of the netbooks. 4) ASUS gives 10gb online backup storage for free. 5) One key to recover the whole system in original state, no matter what you did to your netbook.
