Asus seems to be expanding its Eee PC line up at an exponential rate with new variants being announced every couple of months. Today we are reviewing the Asus 1000 HE, which is an upgrade to Asus' first hit model the 1000H.
So what's new in this one? Well the biggest improvement (for me at least) is proper placement of the Shift key and the completely revamped keypad. It also packs in a higher capacity battery through which it gets its rated 9.5 hour battery life. Other small changes include a peppier Atom N280 processor running at 1.66GHz but the rest of it remains identical. Let's see how much of an improvement is the new 1000HE.
Bundle
The new Eee PC 1000HE comes with the following bundle;
I think the reviewer has missed few points:
1) It has a very long life of battery which is a plus point in similar categories netbooks. I believe its one time charge run time is 8-9 hours depending on the uses.
2) Touch pad has multi-touch features which is a great and innovative. User could scroll and zoom in-out on touch pad, very quickly.
3) Has a Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi 802.11n which is not found in most of the netbooks.
4) ASUS gives 10gb online backup storage for free.
5) One key to recover the whole system in original state, no matter what you did to your netbook.
