Recently, Android-based HTC Hero was spotted in the wild in blurry images. Along with new Android phone, a new Android 2.0 OS dubbed Donut can also be expected to come out anytime soon.

Two back to back, leaks of Android 2.0 Donut come up from HayKuro, who posted images on XDA-Developers forums. HTC Hero's firmware got leaked and was installed on HTC Dream. The images that were leaked suggest that the reworked interface included a login-logout option for social networks, polished icons as well as built-in apps, new media player gig, Flash support in the Browser and also a bit of HTC's TouchFLO flair.

This video is interesting since it shows Android Firmware version 1.5 (cupcake) and all the new apps work with redesigned Calendar app.

Like that wasn't enough to tease us, the new Android build video has managed to drop our jaws. This Android build carries a skinned interface leaving typical HTC skin imprint on the home screen. Widget functionality was teased exclusively for instance picking HTC Gadget, Google Gadget or any shortcut was easy to move around. Apparently, this Android build is referred to as 'Rosie'. Or may be, it's the new user interface that would be incorporated in HTC Hero.

As of now we love the cupcakes, donuts and rosies. Let's see what Android has in store for us with the HTC Hero.
