The Sony Ericsson C510 is the younger brother of the C902 that was launched last year. It has a smaller 3.2 megapixel sensor and loses the touch sensitive controls around the display, and thus comes with a lower price tag. However, it retains the face detection technology and also adds Smile Shutter as a bonus. Here we put it to test to see how well it performs and whether the camera performance lives up to the Cyber-shot brand name.
Lack of Xenon flash and a 3.5 MM jack is what stopped me from buying this phone. This phone may be value for money, but I am not going to invest on a phone that bears a Cyber-shot tag but comes with a lousy camera.
I was using k810i , thts very good phone all the way. recently bought one c510.
Actually u can zoom in only vga mode. second flash is not good
Hangs lot, very slow. voice clarity while talking is too bad.
hey its a nice phone m currently using it and even in starting it used to give talktime of arnd 8-10 hours continously talking...and picture quality in day can be compared to one of the smartphones avaliable...such as I-Phone....even u can find it better than one mentioned above....wat i used to see in my phone is that the sound, the base of a song is awesome in headset which i got(HPM-64) and its far better than i-phone....so overall this phone has fully satisfied me,just lacking in as of Wi-Fi in it...but in this amount of money u wil get this only...
hi..i'm uday from hyderabad.I've bought c510 last month.Unfortunately it was slipped and fell in water while driving. Now the camer is not functioning at all.Can this be repaired..? plz guys suggest me.
This handset is value for money and this has most of the smart phone features. The Flip side of this phone is the Flash doesn't synchronize during night shots.
i got a news from my friend who has a mobile retail shop that sony ericsson will leave Indian market in a year or so...is it true? if yes, then what about buying a new c510 if after one or two years we are not getting any service or repair...pls reply
i agree with this review. and u know what? i have got myself one. its a decent phone with good features n smart enough to get noticed. n offers good price to performance rario.
Chadra, this is not music phone, this is cybershot series phone. So you cannot expect to music phone features. Best part is even though it is cyber shot shot series phone but sound is much better than any other music express or any music phone. Camera is excellent. Kind of features it has in that price, Nokia music express phones might not have. My brother ishaving 5800 but camera quality of C510 is much better than 5800 whether in day light or night.
What? NO 3.5 MM jack... even on some of their premium W series phones? I don't see how they are gonna compete with well-priced Nokia XpressMusic phones out there...
