This has to be one of the best examples of companies trying to do everything to nullify the effects of the global recession.

With no one being spared by the slowdown, Dell seems to have cooked up an innovative (according to them) way to target the fairer sex by enticing them with their range of uber-cool, netbooks and laptops, which incidentally turn into fashion statements on the Della website

Dell's netbooks and laptops, which are available at "Della" are virtually the same ones that you'd see on any other Dell sites. But if you're a lady on the hunt for a laptop, the site has some cool tips regarding things you might have never thought was possible. For example, do you know it is possible to look for recipes online using a Dell laptop? Also, Dell's netbooks can change a ladies' life in more than seven unexpected ways apparently. Under the hot products section, you will find a host of Dell products and accessories in "various colors".

Now, we do not wish to be extremely rude about this but all we have to say here is that the company could have done more than just re-branding an entire product line-up with the help of just a website. Dell counters this point by saying that certain sub sections of Dell users perceive specific models and range to be worthy of being termed "stylish" and that the company is just "aiding" them and making them feel at home. This is not the first time Dell has done something on these lines. It already has quite a few other specialty websites like the Dell Lounge and a Gaming oriented website, and this one seems to be just a natural extension.

That said it is very interesting to see all top brands concentrating on netbooks that seem to be doing well, thanks to their lower prices and compactness.
