Meant for portability, the big Kindle DX completely discards consumers' fascination for pocket-friendly portable device. Reading text on 3.5-inch mobile phone screen can be painful, but having a large e-Book reader merely adds up to the gadget-luggage.

Also, the high price point makes user compare it to the 10-inch
netbooks falling in the same price range. It's understood that e-Book
reading experience is totally different on Kindle, but why price them
as much as netbooks. Also, step-by-step feature upgraded models are
have become a norm instead of single model carrying all features.
Amazon boasts of 275,000 books, top magazines, newspapers, and blogs. Amazon has also partnered with textbook reputed textbook manufacturers like Wiley, Pearson and Cengage Learning for bringing textbooks to Kindle DX. In the past, top magazine and newspaper have joined hands with Amazon to provide content. However, this leaves us wondering why coloured content producers are pushing their content on Kindle's black and white e-ink display.
Fujitsu is already offering FLEPia colour e-Book reader for a pretty hefty price. One would rather buy a good configuration notebook rather than investing the amount in buying an e-Book reader and further spending more on content purchases from content providers.
Neither the Amazon service nor the Kindle DX would be available in India till a distant future. Even if it comes, it will take a good couple of years for bringing the local Indian content on the Kindle DX's e-Ink platform.
