USB Flash drives have been growing in capacity as technology advances. With the availability of 32 and 64 GB drives nowadays, carrying large files just got easier and more convenient. Taiwan-based Silicon Power has a host of USB Flash drives and this time around, they have sent us the LuxMini 920 32 GB version, which they claim to be the fastest among all their drives. We have tested this SLC-based drive to tell you whether it really delivers the performance it claims.

The Flash drive comes in a nice see-through blister pack. "200X" written on the box is an indicator of the superlative performance to expect of this USB Flash drive. There is no bundle in it, but we think that a USB extension cable should have come along. A USB extension cable would have allowed you to plug it into a rear USB port, without the need to reach to the back of your PC.

it only seems to be written on the box. and it would be naive to expect some USB pen drive performing 200 times faster than others

Was this written by someone who has never seen a USB drive? No, there is no superfluous cable or "software" (for what?) there is no "string" to hold it together. It's a damned USB drive, exactly like it's supposed to be.

For the uninitiated, USB drives do come with software which usually take care of security. Another well-known software is U3 and what it does need not be explained (I think). The drive has a small cap which can get lost easily so we have mentioned that there should have been some way to secure it to the drive (with a string, for example). Another way to secure it would be to simply have the drive designed in a way that the cap can be affixed at the other rear end while the drive is in use.

Since my cheap 16gb drive is only 15% full... why in the world would I pay a fortune for a bigger one???

what kinda idiotic and misleading title is "Should You Buy a 32 GB Flash Drive?" for a review of a pen drive?

I discovered recently that the bigger the capacity, the more is the probability of their crashing. Am i right?

This flash drive performance seems brilliant than others in market but the physical designed and black & grey colour not eye appeal or impressive. When looking for the overall performance it worth for those transfer movies and media files regularly.
