Not much different from the previous model but a solid performer nonetheless
Great sound quality, good display, plenty of sound customization options, expandable memory, great battery life
No AAC format support, no dedicated music keys, UI design could be more intuitive, too thick, not much differences from the older model

The Cowon D2+ is the new and improved version of the old D2. It includes some new software level changes such as BBE+ and a refurbished interface that promises to inject some new life into this long running MP3 player. Find out how it performs and how different it is than the older D2 which it replaces.
I agree. Its naive to compare Ipod touch and d2+. If you take audio quality seriously than i think cowon wins hands down.It still has usefull tools, like FM, lyrics support and small but good screen. Expandable memory integrates into the main library. BBE is used in studios for sound enhancements so you just cant argue over it.
I have a sony hd based player. it sounds good but i would like to have a drag and drop media playback. So ipod is a miss for me.
The reviewer started off quite well but made a sarcastic ending by comparing Cowon's players with iPod Touch. It is here where people consider widgets over Sound Quality which a DAP is supposed to provide.
There are very few players that have capability to be at par with Cowon's Sound Quality, like Samsung P3. iPod Touch's Sounq Quality is limited and it is a gizmo rather than being an actual DAP. S9 is tons better than Touch, but it lacks Wi-Fi, which Cowon should implement to make it that ultimate player.
Cowon D2+ has 37mW output on 16 Ohm plugs, it beats the likes of Sony and other, given you plug a Sennheiser Cx 300 or above.
Was using a sony. Ordered a Cowon tonight. Yet to figure out. I believed in Sony, and still do, lets see if Cowon takes that belief in their direction!!!
