The arrival of Metal Gear Solid Touch for iPhone platform was just the beginning and here s yet another remarkable game. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles has safely made its way to the iPhone platform. The game is now available at the Apple App Store (iTunes Link) bearing a file size of 140MB at a price of $10 (Rs. 500 approx.). However, it should be noted that the game requires firmware 2.2.1 on both iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles is a prequel to this game s Nintendo DS version and to be honest, a different game would've been better than a port from DS. Spruced with better graphics for the iPhone platform, the player gets to play the master assassin Altair. The game has a linear story and isn't directly related to the upcoming Assassin s Creed II, of course.
In the game, Altair is supposed to uncover a sacred artifact called The Chalice held by Templars. According to Altair's superiors at The Order of Assassins, stealing The Chalice could end the crusades. Also, this game for iPhone platform will include a bunch of clever mini-games which also exists in the Nintendo DS version of the game.
