After delivering the latest pre-release version of the upcoming Mac OS X 10.5.7 dubbed Juno, Apple is close to finish developing the build and roll out update soon.

News about Mac OS X 10.5.7 has been buzzing amongst the Mac developer community since last month. This OS X 10.5.7 update packs about 110 individual fixes in the Mac OS X Leopard version, reported AppleInsider.

Apple has been testing the Mac OS X 10.5.7 update and security update 2009-002 since last month, while the developers got the latest beta build Mac OS X 10.5.7 build 9J56. As developers note, this recent built includes bunch of additional tweaks and improves Bluetooth compatibility. The fixes include solving issues related to proper Personal File Sharing and AFP volumes recognition by the Time Machine shares.

Another significant change is the fix for PDF font render, so we could expect protection against PDF based exploits for the Mac platform. However, the Safari 4 beta users would be disappointed to know that Juno isn't compatible with the same.

On the other hand, the Security Update 2009-002 is being tested for improving security issues of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. However, the areas where security fixes are applied aren't disclosed by Apple.

Apple is expected to release the Mac OS X 10.5.7 Juno update sometime later this month. Whenever Juno arrives, expect it to be a hefty update of around 450MB or more.

Apple is also expected to release a beta version of their upcoming Mac OS X - Snow Leopard later this week. This new pre-release build Mac OS X 10.6 10A335 is expected to bring an anticipated set of features including visual tweaks for the OS X interface. Also this might carry Apple Remote Desktop 3.3 codenamed Hook for remote administration with compatibility and issue fixing upgrades.

As AppleInsider, the Snow Leopard is expected to release in August.
