Nice ergonomic design, plenty of shortcut keys, good battery life, lightweight, comfortable
Mouse is for right-handed people only, keyboard and mouse intermittently lose sync, a bit pricey

Just when we finished reviewing the Logitech MX5500, Microsoft send us their premium wireless desktop solution- the Laser Desktop 6000- which is a combo of the wireless keyboard 6000 v3.0 and the laser mouse 6000 v3.0.
This combo works on radio frequency instead of Bluetooth and uses the same dongle to connect to the keyboard and mouse. Both have an ergonomic design, although the mouse is built strictly for right-handed people. Microsoft claims that the wave-like design of the keys is more comfortable than a regular keyboard.
Design and Construction
The box was in a very bad condition when it arrived so there was no point taking a photograph of it. We'll take a quick look at the keyboard and mouse before going into the details.
When you first take the keyboard out of the box it looks a little oddly shaped and bland with its monochromatic color and matt finish. However, you'll instantly notice the wealth of shortcut keys all over the keyboard. Around the keyboard is a translucent strip, which is there just for decoration.
If you thought the Logitech MX5500 looked odd, this one takes the cake. It's strictly designed for righties and is shaped accordingly. The right side of the mouse features grooves where you can rest your fingers while using it.
