Just a couple of months after its launch, Transcend has upgraded its PF810 digital photo frame - it now features an LED lit touch-sensitive menu interface and is available in black as well as white.

The PF810 not only allows viewing images in a slideshow format, it lets users play music and videos in various formats as well as lets them tune in to a favorite FM station.

The digital photo frame features an 8-inch (4:3) high-resolution color TFT LCD panel, measures 230mm 180mm 31mm and weighs 540g.

The PF810 comes with a built-in stereo speakers and headphone jack that allow viewing photos with background music through MP3 files or the radio. Audio out: L / R stereo speakers - 1.5w each, 3.5mm Headphone Jack. Music formats supported are: MP3, WMA (Non-DRM), and WAV.

Along with a 2GB of built-in flash memory, PF810 supports USB flash drives and SD/SDHC/MMC/MS/ CF memory cards. Video formats supported are: MPEG1/4 (SP/ASP), Motion JPEG.( AVI, MOV, MPG, MP4, 3GP; Up to 720x576 @ 30FPS).

The built-in FM radio with programmable station presets. There's also full motion video playback offered.

Users can select multiple photos for one-step transfer to the internal memory of the digital photo frame. Also, there are provisions for slideshow, thumbnail, still picture, and zoom-in viewing. Further, frame themes and animations are also offered to decorate images.


The PF810 also features important date/event reminder, clock, alarm and calendar functions, automatic power-on/off and sleep timers, along with custom alarm clock that can be used to wake up to a favorite FM radio station or an MP3 song.

The PF810 is now available in 2 variants -- PF810B (black) and PF810W (white) for Rs. 9900 each. The device includes a 2-year warranty with 1 year extended to the panel (maximum 4 defective pixels).

Does it have battery support or it lives off the Mains only ???
