2K games, the creators of BioShock, have decided to drop the 'Sea of Dreams' subtitle from the second BioShock instalment. Also, 2K has denied the possibility of co-op multiplayer mode, though some sort of multiplayer function may exist. Developed by 2K Marin, BioShock 2 is expected to release between August and October this year.

Earlier this week, details that were leaked on GameSpot Forums and NeoGAF were later confirmed by 2K in their recent post on Community Site.

BioShock 2 casts players as the first Big Daddy, who can inject plasmids, and will have to protect or harvest Little Sisters. The Big Sisters are the ones who steal those girls who'll be Big Daddy's Little Sisters.

2k Games is expected to launch BioShock 2 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox 360 gaming platforms.

Personally I prefer it when the developers keep the game updates to themselves. Simply for the suspense and surprise. Eventually, like every other game - too many spoilers will show up and there will be no looking forward to what happens next. Bioshock had a real unique story & image and every turn had a surprise. I would like to see the same for Bioshock 2.
