Find out if you should ditch your browser of choice for IE 8

The Browser
Internet Explorer 8 has been in the works for quite some time. The first beta of the browser was made available in March 2008 and back then the IE team had mentioned their six points of focus whilst developing the new browser. These were full CSS 2.1 support, better scripting performance, support for HTML 5, built in developer tools, integration of web services in to the browser and not to mention, web slices. If you have been using the Beta for a while, I guess you will not find something very revolutionary in the final version. That however might not be the case for "normal" users who might upgrade from IE6 or IE7 to this. For IE6 users, IE8 poses a rather steep learning curve as this hardly resembles the plain Jane, vanilla look of the two generation old browser.

So, what's new? Well, the final version is pretty much similar to the RC1 but we will once again run through the main features of the browser.

It is good and I find it a piece of cake. Congratulation to the team.
