Can be charged to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes
Hewlett Packard (HP) USA has started offering notebooks that come with "green" Sonata batteries that offer better performance and last longer than "normal" batteries.
The Enviro Series of batteries carry a three-year warranty and use certified environment-friendly technology from Boston Power. These Li-ion batteries are rated to perform consistently for three years, which, according to Boston-Power, is three times longer than most other notebook computer batteries. Another advantage is their rather low recharge time. These can be charged to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.
"The Enviro Series program gives PC users longer-lasting batteries that improve their computing experience while reducing the number of batteries that need to be recycled," says Jonathan Kaye, director of consumer notebooks marketing at HP.
Currently available only in select markets, the battery is available as a $149.99 (Rs. 7,727.43 approx.) accessory select notebook model. HP has not announced its intentions to launch these ones in India as of now - although we would love to see these ones here.
