MSI has announced yet another MSI Wind variant dubbed as Wind U110 ECO. Boasting nine hours of battery life, Wind U110 ECO features Intel Atom processor and other bunch of regular-netbook components. MSI hasn't disclosed the price and availability of U110 ECO as yet.

MSI's new Wind U110 ECO laptop has a 10-inch LCD screen that supports 1024x600 pixel resolution. Wind U110 ECO comes equipped with 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 and Intel Poulsbo chipset (US15W). Intel's Poulsbo chipset contains GMA500 graphics and has only two PCI Express x1 lanes. Supporting upto 2GB DDR2 533MHz RAM, MSI offers option of 160GB or larger storage.

Brow raising mention of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 actually isn't been spoken of anywhere in the official press release. For connectivity, MSI incorporates WiFi including the 'n' specification for better WLAN coverage. It should be noted that netbooks or ultraportable laptops with 'n' specification for WiFi are a rarity.

Another noteworthy part is that MSI boasts nine hours of battery life and offers optional 6-cell battery. Rest features include Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and 1.3 megapixel webcam built-in.

The mention of ATI's Mobility Radeon HD 3200 on the spec sheet left us puzzled along with the claim of nine hours of battery life.

Nevertheless, the generic looking new Wind U110 ECO netbook would be worth noting for the WLAN with n specification and some clarity on the nine hour battery life.
