As a part of its online campaign strategy, Congress is setting up around 600 kiosks across the country to inform people, particularly the youth, about the party's initiatives in the country.

The party's dedicated IT team is setting up these kiosks across the country which will feature customized software that is meant to be very interactive and easy to use.

The kiosks will also be used for regular transmission of the key excerpts of the speeches of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi.

There will be around 50 kiosks installed in Gujrat alone. These are being done to register youth members on the party's website that is under development. This will be done before candidates file nominations, reports The Hindu.

This year, the political parties are making efforts to harness the voting-power of the average tech-savvy youth. By being vocal about their initiatives, and through a medium that the massive youth population understands, it's going to be an interesting vote-count.
